That’s a fabulous bird. What the heck does it eat with a beak like that? Looks like it could crack open a walnut or similar.
It’s the most common species of woodpecker in South Africa, so walnut is close đŸ˜€ That beak helps them get to the beetles and grubs inside the tree bark.
