This was an accidental photo. I was lining up a shot of two hornbills in the tree, and in the moments I pressed the shutter both took flight, one of them almost directly towards me. I wanted to trash it at first, but the wife was so amazed at the photo she made me reconsider.
What makes it looks so extraordinary is the casque on the beak (from which it also gets its name), which obscures quite a bit of the head from this angle. I did get a few nice shots of them sitting still as well. Watch this space 🙂
