Is it called a Mouse Bird because of its appearance or its voice? We have a little bird here that has taken to squeaking at us (but it’s a juvenile and will learn to speak with a deeper voice later!)
According to my bird book it’s because of they way they clamber through the branches, similar to the way mice do. I don’t think I’ve ever heard what sound they make.
